However, Alumni Global Search, S.L. may, in certain cases, act as a joint controller; for example, in relation to Talent Pool Managers who contract its services. Such cases will be disclosed in the corresponding privacy notice.
For what purpose does Alumni Global Search S.L. process the personal data of users?
At Alumni Global Search S.L., we handle your personal data with the utmost respect and in full compliance with applicable data protection regulations. We process your data for the following purposes:
- With regard to registered candidates, we process their personal data to manage their registration on beWanted and, accordingly, the features made available to them; to manage their participation in recruitment processes created by companies and, where applicable, by community managers registered on beWanted; and to assess their employability.
- Additionally, if you give your consent by checking the box provided for that purpose next to the registration form, we will use your personal data to send you information of interest related to beWanted and to recruitment processes that match your profile. You may withdraw this consent at any time; to do so, each communication we send will include an option to unsubscribe from such communications.
- With regard to registered companies, we process their personal data to manage their registration on beWanted and the features associated with it, to enable the creation and management of recruitment processes, and, if they give their consent, to send them information of interest related to beWanted.
- To manage the communications we send to both candidates and registered companies in a more efficient, dynamic, and operational manner, we use SendGrid, a platform developed by Twilio Inc. The use of this platform involves the service provider installing tracking devices to monitor recipients’ activity regarding these messages, in order to track whether emails are opened and whether the links contained within them are clicked.
- Handle inquiries, complaints, suggestions, claims, and requests submitted to us by data subjects.
We would like to inform you that we will process your personal data only for the purposes mentioned above and that, under no circumstances, will automated decisions be made based on your profile.
How long will we keep your personal data?
With respect to candidates and registered companies, we will process their personal data until such time as they decide to unsubscribe, which they can do in their private area. Thereafter, we will retain your personal data only for the time necessary to comply with legal obligations.
With regard to inquiries, complaints, suggestions, or requests that we receive through the form provided for this purpose, we will process personal data for as long as necessary to resolve and address them and, once resolved, for as long as necessary to comply with legal requirements.
In other cases, we will process your data for the time necessary to process your request and/or service.
What is the legal basis for processing users' personal data?
With regard to registered candidates and companies, the legal basis for processing their personal data is the consent they provide when registering with beWanted.
With regard to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending you information of interest related to beWanted and recruitment processes, the legal basis is the consent you provide by checking the box provided for that purpose next to the registration form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
In cases where consent serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data, you may withdraw your consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given prior to its withdrawal.
To which recipients will the users' personal data be communicated?
In accordance with the primary purpose of the beWanted candidate registry, we will share the personal data contained in your profile with companies registered on beWanted that are interested in you. If the registered company is part of a talent community network, your personal data will also be shared with that network so that it can manage the recruitment processes of the companies within it.
In accordance with the primary purpose of registration on beWanted, we will share the personal data of registered companies with candidates registered on beWanted who are interested in their job postings, as well as, where applicable, with the relevant community manager.
In other cases, we will only disclose users' personal data if we are required to do so by law.
As previously mentioned, we use Sendgrid—a platform developed by Twilio Inc.—to manage our communications. Twilio Inc. acts as a data processor and, despite being located outside the European Economic Area, provides the appropriate safeguards set forth in Article 46(2)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
What rights do users have as data subjects?
As the data subject, you may, either on your own behalf or through a legal or voluntary representative, exercise your rights of access, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure, and objection, as well as your right to data portability.

You will receive a response from us within 30 days of our receipt of your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency to request the protection of your rights.
How did we obtain your personal information?
The personal data we process at Alumni Global Search S.L. has been collected from any of the various forms you submit to us or through the email address provided for contacting us.
The categories of data processed, depending on the group of data subjects to which they belong, are: identifying information, personal characteristics, social circumstances, academic and professional information, employment details, employability, website (for companies), and credit card information (for companies, for payment of services).
Please be advised that we do not process any data classified by the General Data Protection Regulation as “special categories of data” (data regarding health, religion, political views, trade union membership, etc.), except for the degree of disability when the candidate chooses to provide it voluntarily.
